I had to take a step back from blogging in the last month….errr, two months. Between prepping the new Florida house, heading back to St. Louis to pack our life up, driving a massive moving truck 22 hours south, and unpacking our life in Florida….things have been busy. I needed to take a step back and focus on real life. But I’m back and ready to roll! My next big races are in February and April. I am ready to dedicate myself to training and kicking some major tail!
Yesterday was my first day back to real training. I did the best that I could while everything was in flux, but most days it just didn’t happen. It was nice to see a green box with positive comments in Training Peaks yesterday. Progress! I have a long way to go in order to reach my goals, but I’m ready to get down to work.
One thing that has still been fairly spot on is my nutrition. I participated in the Swim, Bike, Fuel program in September. It was an incredible experience and has really helped me to ground my nutrition and is helping me get my weight under control. Good nutrition allows us to feel strong and lean. Plus, it’s a heck of a lot easier to run without an extra 20 or 30 pounds weighing me down.
It’s good to be back!
